Tracey Davies
Executive Director
Tracey Davies, executive director of Just Share since 2018, holds a BA LLB from UCT and an LLM from NYU, and is a qualified attorney (SA) and solicitor (UK). After a decade of litigation experience, she led the corporate accountability programme at the Centre for Environmental Rights before co-founding Just Share. Tracey is an expert on corporate governance, shareholder activism and responsible investment, is active in just transition initiatives, and is a columnist for the Financial Mail.
Lauren Burnhill
Non-executive Director
Lauren Burnhill is a global leader in inclusive, sustainable finance, helping organisations integrate financial, environmental, and social goals to create innovative funding solutions that benefit people, planet, and profits. She pioneered the “Access to Life” finance concept for sectors like health and renewable energy, complementing MSME microfinance. Lauren holds a Master’s in Social Change from Johns Hopkins SAIS, an MBA from Wharton, and a Development Finance Professional Certification.
Xolisa Dhlamini (Chair)

Xolisa is the Head of Distribution at Sanlam Corporate, with 17 years’ experience in financial services and sustainable and responsible investing. He previously taught at UCT GSB, chaired the UCT Retirement Fund investment committee, and was head of Africa for the PRI. He holds a Master’s in Development Finance from UCT. He is also a chartered development finance analyst (CDFA) and a certified environmental, social and governance analyst (CESGA).
Elspeth Webster
Non-executive Director
Elspeth led CISL’s education work in South Africa from 2008 to 2021 and is currently head tutor for CISL’s online Business and Sustainability Management programmes. With 25 years’ leadership development experience, she chairs the Routes to Resilience SA board, preparing youth for future challenges. She holds a BSc in Zoology and Biochemistry, a Postgraduate Diploma in Therapeutic Dietetics, and an MBA from UCT.
Dugan Fraser
Non-executive Director
Dugan Fraser is Program Manager of the Global Evaluation Initiative at the World Bank’s Independent Evaluation Group and a monitoring and evaluation specialist. He was previously an Adjunct Professor at Wits and Director of the Centre for Learning on Evaluation and Results. His experience includes advising civil society and managing programme strategy and evaluation at the RAITH Foundation.
William Nkutha
Non-executive Director
William is Principal Officer of the National Employee Benefits Umbrella Fund, with over 15 years’ experience in employee benefits. He holds postgraduate diplomas in Management (Retirement Funds) and Development Finance from UCT, where he has participated in transformation and employment equity committees.

Lise is Head of Sustainability Analysis at Matter, a Danish fintech, focusing on integrating science-based data into sustainable investment tech solutions. Previously, she was Vice President at WWF Asia Sustainable Finance, supporting regional financial institutions on ESG practices. She holds a BComm Honours from UCT and an MSc in Environmental Economics from LSE.

Andrea Koch
Finance Manager
Andrea Koch is a chartered accountant with over 20 years of financial management experience across multiple industries, having studied at UCT and trained with Ernst & Young in Johannesburg. She has owned and managed two small businesses and later transitioned to finance roles in non-profit organisations. Since 2015, Andrea has worked with several NPOs and joined Just Share as finance manager in 2022.
Aphinda Jabe
Aphinda Jabe holds a BSc in Chemistry and Applied Statistics from UCT. Since joining Just Share in 2025, she has contributed significantly to financial institution assessments, climate change advocacy, and corporate governance analyses. She currently supports the organisation’s research and advocacy work across all three programmes.
Carmen Hilser
Human Resource Manager
Carmen joined Just Share in June 2023 with over 15 years’ asset management experience, previously serving as Chief HR Officer at ZaGenie and HR Manager at Vunani Fund Managers. She specialises in HR strategy, labour relations, and fostering positive workplace culture. Carmen holds a Bachelor’s in Industrial and Organisational Psychology and an Honours in Applied Psychology from UNISA.
Déna Jansen
Trainee Researcher
Déna Jansen joined Just Share as a trainee researcher at the start of 2025 and supports all three of the core programmes of work: Climate Change, Inequality and Governance. They hold a BSc Honours in Environmental and Geographical Science from UCT with a focus on the theory of novel ecosystems and environmental management policy. In their time with Just Share, Déna has made significant contributions to the organisation’s work on board competence, AGM analysis and regulatory submissions.
Emma Schuster
Senior Climate Risk Analyst
Emma Schuster, senior climate analyst at Just Share since 2019, holds a BA LLB and an LLM (cum laude) in International Human Rights Law. She is a qualified attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Before joining Just Share, Emma worked with various South African NGOs, including contributing to the State Capture Commission of Inquiry into corruption at PRASA.
Emma’s focus is on mobilising the corporate and financial sector to support a just transition to a low-carbon, inclusive economy, and she leads Just Share’s work on corporate climate lobbying. Her writing on climate change, greenwashing, and the just transition has been published in leading South African news and academic outlets.
Karishma Bhoolia
Senior Climate Risk Analyst
Karishma Bhoolia is a senior climate risk analyst on Just Share’s climate team. She holds an MBA from Stellenbosch Business School, where her master’s research examined carbon disclosure quality in the JSE-listed financial sector. She has extensive experience integrating sustainability metrics into organisational strategy and operations. Before joining Just Share, she served as global change lead for sustainability and EDIB (equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging) at Cambridge University Press and Assessment. Karishma specialises in carbon accounting, responsible investment, and ESG data management.
Kwanele Ngogela
Kwanele Ngogela, Senior Inequality Analyst at Just Share since 2022, is completing an MBA at Wits Business School. He holds a PGDip in Sustainable Development from Stellenbosch University, a BSc (Hons) in Environmental & Water Science, and a BSc in Applied Geology from the University of the Western Cape, and is a certified Carbon Footprint Analyst (IEMA, UK). Prior to joining Just Share, he was a Sustainability Research & Measurement Analyst at Woolworths Holdings Limited, contributing to the Good Business Journey strategy, and earlier as a Data Management & Integration Assistant in the City of Cape Town’s Sustainable Energy Markets unit. Kwanele has expertise in corporate governance, sustainability, and ESG.
Lara French
Lara French holds an MPhil specialising in Theories of Justice and Inequality from UCT. Since she joined in 2025, Lara has taken a particular interest in anti-climate lobbying and living wage advocacy at Just Share. She assists in research and advocacy across the organisation’s three core focus areas: climate, inequality, and governance.
Masutane Modjadji
Masutane Modjadji joined Just Share as a communications manager in May 2024. She holds a National Diploma from CPUT, a BA Honours from the University of Witwatersrand and a Master’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Johannesburg. Masutane is a former journalist and an experienced communications specialist within the civil society sector.
Robyn Hugo
Director: Climate Change Engagement
Robyn Hugo is an attorney and has been Just Share’s director of climate change engagement since September 2020. She holds a BA LLB from Stellenbosch University and an LLM from UCT. After 7 years at Bowmans, Robyn headed the Centre for Environmental Rights’ Pollution & Climate Change Programme for 9 years. Robyn’s experience includes environmental, climate and energy law, and litigation. She has a particular interest in climate transition plans, shareholder rights, carbon tax, air pollution, and penalties.
